The Southern Soul Steppers, headed by Carl Woodland & Roz LaCour is a Chicago-Style Stepper's Association and dance group based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The group focuses on "Chicago Steppin'," a smooth, rhythmic partner dance, and they frequently host classes and social events throughout the city. 

 

The group hosts their annual signature event, Denim & Diamonds, A classy multi-day event featuring workshops, social dancing, musical hosts & guests from coast to coast.

The group regularly offers beginner-friendly classes held in Baton Rouge. No prior experience is typically required for these sessions​
